Powell’s City of Books in Portland, Oregon is said to be the largest bookstore in the entire country! It covers a whole city block and holds nearly one million volumes of new and used books. We climbed A LOT of stairs to cover a small fraction of the avaliable floors.
What a glorious way to spend a rainy afternoon…browsing and stocking up on books for the rest of the trip. I found books here for which I had searched everywhere with no luck..
