All our lives we had dreamed of traveling and exploring the side roads of this wonderful country when we retired. And our dream came true! We continue to reinvent ourselves as we go along…
After 33 years Rick retired from the Flood Control department in Riverside county. After retirement he discovered that he had an talent for wood carving. Boy oh boy….a hobby that could go on the road with us!
Judy had been an RN working in post surgical units and surgical intensive care for many years. And that was followed by a career in photography. Pretty cool to have two careers…and to love each one so much.
The big house was sold and a much smaller place bought. The ‘rig’ is an old Bounder that Rick remodeled to fit us like a glove. We still kick around the idea of going on the road full time. But the truth is we live in one of the nicest snowbird communities in the west so 6 months on the road and 6 months there seems the best of both worlds.
