Tomorrow is ‘cast off day’ so we grabbed a last chance to go back over to Cottage Grove and say good bye to our friends Bonnie and Mike.
Their backyard is a wonderful wild life habitat. These little ducklings, only a few days old, are listening to mama’s voice to guide them into shore. She has 11 of these little fluff balls scattered among the reeds.
They swim around for a while and finally mother waddles up on the bank, gives them a call, gathers them up under her and spreads out her wings. And then, like mothers everywhere… grabs a few winks herself!
