Ellsworth, ME…

A long traveling day (for us, in any case) When we started it was foggy and as it cleared it was just hanging in little valleys and finally we broke out into gorgeous clear blue skies with puffy white clouds. I can’t get over the smell in the air! Like newly cut grass and wildflowers. I dragged Rick over to the side of the road to ‘sniff’! He just shakes his head at me. I feel like I haven’t properly smelled air for years!

We took the Maine thru-way…not freeway…(cause it isn’t free)! Hundred miles and no billboards…few buildings…light traffic…and forest, pine and deciduous trees…as far as the eye can see. Unbelievable!

I called Beth to have her send the mail tonight. She says it’s 116 degrees at home and the have had flooding so bad that you have go to Temecula to get to Perris! I can hear the gears in Rick’s head grinding…too bad I’ve got him and Flood Control doesn’t! It’s cool here…I like that in a weather! (grin)

We have a modem..Yeaaaa! Will catch up on E-mail.
