Brattleboro, VT

It was overcast this morning and as we got closer to Vermont it turned to a soft mist and then to a gentle rain. The air smells sweet. The trees are starting to change here and we see the geese in their “V” formations…heading south.

We got lost in Albany New York…in the worst part of town—natch! But thanks to a kind soul who gave us the most convoluted direction, that turned out to be right on the money, we were soon on our way. We did get to see streets and streets of ‘row houses’. Very quaint.

I’m so grateful that we brought the car!! We passed dozens of wonderful places in Vermont that were impossible to stop at because of lack of space. By tomorrow we should be in Maine and then into the car…and then look out world!

We finished dinner…a nice big baked potato, with toppings, cooked in the microwave. Went shopping at a road-side stand next to the RV park. (Rick couldn’t resist some maple candy too) The rain has stopped for now and we are watching the late comers getting set up for the night. We are treating our self to TV tonight…a rare treat. We didn’t even know that Clinton had ‘fessed up’ to Monica, until someone told us. Can’t say I miss the news!
