They have an interesting old pioneer museum complex in Fredricksburg. This area was settled by Germans around the 1850s.
I guess the folks at that time were a bit shorter…at least you better remember to duck when you go through some of the doorways. It looks like those hand-hewn beams could put a permanent dent in your forehead!
They’ve done a superb job with the details. It’s easy to imagine the family that lived here…in another time.
