We visited the “White Dove of the Desert” today. The beautiful Mission San Xavier del Bac was founded in 1694. And three hundred years later it still holds masses.
It’s dim and cool inside the church…such a relief from the hot desert afternoon sun. Soft music plays…people light candles and bow their heads and I could feel the peace and reverence of this holy place wash over me.
