The last class was over this afternoon. There was a big get together tonight. A huge pot-luck dinner and raffle. Rick won TWO prizes! One was a carving of a little dog, sitting up and begging. And the other a face carved out of bark. That was the frosting on the cake!
The nearby airport is closed for repair…but Rick saw a small plane land on the road! The sheriff was at the dinner and we asked him about it. The pilot works for the Fish and Game Dept. He stopped to ‘pick someone up’. The sheriff was NOT amused. He didn’t arrest him but he thinks the pilot will lose his job over it.
This whole Creede Woodcarving Rendezvous has been a marvelous experience!
