Woodcarving day

Today was the start of Rick’s woodcarving classes! He was so eager that he left for class 45 minutes early. Of course the class WAS being held 2 miles away!

He came home tired and happy. Today was ‘beginning faces’ and he had picked up a number of tips. Several problems he had been struggling with were finally solved.

I spent an hour or so with another ‘carving widow’. She does pressed flower cards and so we did show and tell. I do enjoy meeting new people and hearing their stories. They’ve been on the road full time for 9 years and have enjoyed all of it. And I enjoyed hearing about it.

Joe and Diane had dinner with us tonight. Rick cooked chicken on the new gas grill. This was the first time we’ve used it so we experimented on them! They’re fun and comfortable to be around. Seems like we’ve known them a long time. In the photo Joe is off to catch the ‘elusive big one’. It didn’t happen…but he did catch three smaller ones that he stapled together! (Grin)7_8_joe_diane
