As we headed out of the ‘big city’ a gentle rain started. There is something about the combination of rivulets of water on the windshield and the rhythmic whoosh of the windshield wipers that renders me drowsy in about 5 minutes flat!
We happened upon a wonderful place to stay. It’s in a mossy forest overlooking a lake. Very private…there isn’t another RV in sight! The grounds are beautiful. They have some stunning bronze statues on the grounds.
The only sound…the gentle drip of rain on the roof. I think I’ll fix big baked potatoes, all steamy and dripping with butter. Comfort food for a rainy night.
As twilight approaches…the mist is rising off the lake and fingers of fog are beginning to creep in around the trees. A perfect night for the mystery book I’m reading!
