Some last hugs and exchanges of addresses and we are ‘On the Road Again’! We passed through miles of cattle country…rolling hills with buttes in the distance, the clouds casting long dark shadows across the land.
It grew hotter as we drove. It was 60 degrees when we left…105 when we arrived in La Junta. A hot wind is kicking up the dust.
The computer apparently has taken a vacation of it’s own…either that or it’s died and needs to be buried. It’s a peculiar detached feeling to be without it…our connection to people we care about is gone.
September 6, 2000…..Wichita, Kansas All Season RV Park
Note…Kansas is flat…very very flat! We spotted some signs lining the road, at Mullinville, hundreds of clever signs! Don’t know what the deal is but it sure is interesting
We found a computer place that will trouble shoot for us tomorrow…we’re holding our breath! (It’s too hot to breathe anyway)
