Bakersfield, CA

After the bumper to bumper traffic through Temecula, and the bumper to bumper traffic through San Bernardino, and dealing with the massive number of semi trucks during the long climb through the Cajon Pass, it feels good to be free of all that and out in the ‘country’ again!

We found the Kern County Museum this afternoon after we’d stopped for the night. There were a number of old preserved buildings here…making up a little ‘township’.

No traffic here…just quiet, shady paths…we took a stroll into a more peaceful time and place.06_02_log_cabin2
