This morning we jumped out of bed early…excited to finally ‘set sail’…eager to get out there and fill our gas tank…and do our part to help the oil companies get rich. But alas….
Rick started his usual ‘pre-drive’ check up and discovered one of the inside tires was flat as a pancake! This, mind you, after we just plunked down $1400 bucks last week to have every tire replaced…SO WE WOULDN’T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT FLAT TIRES!
The auto club sent out a ‘knight in shining armor’. It only took him a half an hour or so to discover the problem was a broken stem and replace it and be on his way. Of course, it took him FIVE hours to get here…but hey…we could have been in the middle of LA traffic instead of kicking back in this beautiful spot.
It reminded us again just HOW important it is to check everything before you pull out.
Hang in there oil companies…tomorrow is another day!
