I feel like we just built on a new room! The ‘den’ we calls it! (grin)
Rick took a smooth wooden serving tray and cut the sides down to hold the computer. When we sit down in the passenger seat we just slide it over onto our lap, leaving one end propped up on the dash. It’s a very comfortable way to work because of the excellent back support.AND now, without the computer on the desk, I’ve got a separate area at which to work. I don’t need to disturb Rick when he’s carving at the table and I need to do bills or have a project I want to do. It feels like we’ve doubled our space. (By the way, Rick installed extra heavy glides on the slide out part, which gives it a really substantial feel.
It’s amazing how things come together when you are actually on the road and see what you can do easily to make big differences in daily living. Now, I’d better straighten up the desk…the bills are done!
