escapees SKP

We finished up all the things that we ‘should’ have done before we left. Rick took in cards for the Mission Inn and we stopped by the Credit Union and got travelers checks. The debit card just isn’t working right and we got that straightened out. Thank goodness it happened here instead of the wilds of Idaho!

We went out to dinner with Steve and crew. When we pulled up at Rubios, Gabriel ran down the sidewalk, with arms flung wide…shouting “Grandma , Grandpa”…at the top of his lungs! That has got to be one of the sweetest sounds in God’s wide earth! When we got back to the house he and I cuddled under a cover and I read him a story. I told him we were “going on a trip” and he said “To the woods…with a lantern?” I told him “Well, sort of…we have a little house on wheels and we camp inside of that.” He wasn’t very happy that we were going…but asked if we would send him a picture of us in the woods. When I said we would…he agreed to let us go. He is getting so expressive … and he’s such a little love bug. A lot of “I love you Grandpa, I love you Grandma!” Course we don’t eat that up!

Everything in the RV is working well. All of Rick’s hard work is paying off. The computer desk he built is wonderful. And the new lamp is bright and cheerful. Tomorrow we head for Lompoc…and posies.
