What pretty pretty countryside…red barns and golden fields. We are always amazed at how beautifully the grounds around homes are kept in Mid America. They look like parks. You’d think that ONE person would let the grass go…but we haven’t found that person yet! There are few fences between neighbors so the houses look like they are in parks…rolling green lawns and trees. Big old trees with tire swings hanging down. Anyone for a glass of lemonade on the porch?
Stands with fresh vegetables abound! Tomatoes…real tomatoes, NOT grown in a hot house. We bought…and we ate and ate and ate! Warm, sharp, tangy, salt sprinkled, juice dripping tomatoes! Ahhhhhhh…at last.
