Bill and Kathy had everyone over for watermelon this afternoon. Juicy sweet melon, a hot bonfire and good conversation.
We are seeing seasonal changes in the wild life now. The large Chipmunks have gone into hibernation for the winter. There are only a few Hummingbirds left. And these tiny Chipmunks that were so shy are busy eating like crazy. They’ll even come and sit on my shoe and beg for food. Winter is coming.
The wind can have a nip to it now. And today the dark bellies of the clouds hung down and hid the peaks of the mountains.
We went over in the evening and sat around Wayne and Marciel’s campfire. We shared popcorn and talk. The closeness of friends and fire both wrap you in warmth.
