His name is Gregory and he’s all dressed up because he’s come to invite me to tea at his grandmother’s house. What a different world we live in now. Can you imagine a 6th grader doing that NOW? He was a shy, nerdy kid and in a day when every classmate gave a card to everyone in class…his was the only one that said “I love you.” Back then that was a really ‘big’ deal!
He was my first love. We never kissed…heck we never even held hands and I moved shortly after this picture was taken but I never forgot him either. The passions of children run deeper than we know.
