The Road Home

road_home8We were on the way home  after visiting Bette, a dear friend, who is presently spending time in a convalescent place while she regains her strength. Over the past months she has repeatedly fallen at home where she still lives alone.  Bette is 93 and fighting the good fight to be able to return to her own little house again. She’s a trooper and if anyone can do it…she will!

When we came up over the hill and headed to our own house it swept over me how ‘good’ it felt to be headed HOME…that place where we most belong. Within whose walls love and security and memories surround us.  As it’s said “Be it ever so humble…
