The bugling of a bull elk gives me goose bumps. It’s such a primal call in nature. And the meadows and forests are ringing with the force of those bellows.
There are 3000 elk in the area and they are everywhere. The bull’s are foot stamping, head butting and screaming their warnings to other bulls night and day.
This little adolescent bull looks with envy at the ‘King’ of this large harem. But he’s careful not to get ‘too’ close.
