Nestled in the heart of the San Juan Mountains, at 9318 feet, is the little town of Silverton.
Once upon a time this was a mining town…now the tourists are the main industry.The scenery is spectacular and the town a quaint place to stroll away the afternoon.
It was spitting rain, on an off, while we ducked into one shop after another. Seems there was always ‘just one more’ down the street that looked inviting!
