Kathy Dixon’s Memorial Pagosa Springs, Colorado

The minister’s voice was almost drowned out by the clear pure songs of birds, the sounds of the river tumbling over the rocks, the rustling leaves…. The air around us was filled with butterflies and hummingbirds and the heavy, pine scented air wrapped around us like a hug…

Family and friends, together, walked down to the river’s edge to say goodbye to our dear Kathy..And among all these people and things she loved so much I could sense her presence.

Each of us tossed a rose in the river to keep her company on her journey…and our love floated along with it.

Ah, Kathy girl, it hurts beyond believing to say goodbye to you …But Heaven is a sweeter place tonight.07_01_rose2
