This is the longest covered bridge in Ore. I’ve never seen one before that had a separate covered walkway. It’s built with triple tresses and beams to support logging trucks.
I took a walk across it and spent a few minutes leaning on one of the windowsills and listening to the quiet rush of the river beneath me. I’ll bet it echoes and rumbles and shakes if those huge trucks still find their way on to it.
