Hurricane, Utah

Hurricane, Utah

The weather service wasn’t kidding.

The RV is rocking and rolling in the high wind (We should have been suspicious, given the name of this town!) but we are safe and cozy and have no need to move on. At least we aren’t hanging on the side of a cliff! I expect those climbers are still spiked into the cliff. I don’t think they will be able to move up or down..the winds are gusting to almost 70 miles per hour!

We did find that our little National Weather Emergency Radio works just fine. It’s the first time we’ve tried it. The wind is supposed to decrease tomorrow.

Rick has pulled a muscle in his neck so we are having an R and R day. He’s sitting in the easy chair, a sock, filled with dried peas just out of the microwave, wrapped around his neck..watching football on TV. Ahhh, recuperation is so difficult!

Steve wrote.. he said Gabriel liked the tee shirt we sent so much (An Indian and wolves) that he wore it to bed! He also reported the Twenty-nine palms quake rattled them a bit..but no damage!.

Oct 17 Hurricane, Utah

A calm day! Rick’s neck is better. Life is good!

I always thought “Mormon country” was such a gentle place..but this car was parked in St George this morning..Hummmmm.
