Diane and Joe, bless their little hearts, invited us over for hamburgers. It was a bright sunny day then, but when 6:00 o’clock rolled around it was quite a different story. The usual pattern is thunderstorms in the afternoon…no one remembered that little fact!
Flipping burgers in the rain, Diane gamely carried on, while the rest of us occasionally shouted encouragement from inside…Like…”Hurry up with those burgers.” And “What’s holding up dinner?” (grin)
