A man knocked on the door…

 “Young lady, do I have a deal for you!  For a paltry $50 dollars you will receive a beautiful leather album and every 6 months a photographer will come to your home and photograph your dear children for the unbelievable  price of only $5 dollars per child.” I ask you…What mother could turn down that deal? When Rick got home that night he said “Fifty dollars? Are you out of your mind?” Ouch! It was just possible in my enthusiasm I’d forgotten what a huge amount that was to us. (To put it in perspective…several months later I got a job for the grand amount of $1.97 an hour!) But I had signed the contract and there was no backing out. The years passed and the album slowly filled with priceless memories. And what had once been a HUGE case of buyer’s remorse became one of the best bargains I ever made.  We can’t always see the ‘big picture’ when we’re in the middle of the situation can we? Life is funny that way….
