To make sure that it’s the printer that’s giving us problems…we took the computer into Tacoma for a diagnosis. The good news is…it’s fine. The bad news…now we know that it IS the printer.

We found a wonderful store and got several things we’ve been looking for…another ‘big’ fleece throw to cuddle in during the evenings and a thin cutting board so Rick doesn’t nick the table while he’s carving!

I’m grilling a couple of steaks and it’s fogging over the windows. Between that and the rain rivulets on the outside…it’s turned the view into a watercolor painting! It feels warm and cozy in here. And by the smell…the steaks are done!

The mail came! Only three bills to send off…the auto pay for the rest of the bills is working very well. We took a short drive but this was mostly a restful, rainy, stay at home day.

Today we went to one of my favorite places, Northwest Trek Wildlife Park in Eatonville. They feature the animals of the Pacific Northwest, Grizzly Bears, Wolves, Cougars, etc., presented in very natural enclosures…and that leads to much more natural animal behavior. There are 5 miles of nature trails that wander through beautiful forests, and a tram that takes you on an hour-long trip through 600 acres of wildlife…in the wild!6_13_grizzly

A Grizzly foraging in the forest. The keepers ‘plant’ food under logs, etc., at night, after the bears have been put in their night quarters. This encourages their natural food-seeking behaviors.

They have the ‘little critters’ also. Up close and personal! An inquisitive Raccoon on land and an inquisitive River Otter in the water!6_13_raccoon 6_13_otter
