Wind isn’t gentle here. It whips the flags out straight and rocks the motorhome from side to side. We’ve stopped now till it calms down and to watch the lightning dance across the sky and the dark clouds race by.
Yesterday we visited Monument Rocks. Most of Kansas is so flat it’s rather startling to see these Cretaceous chalk formations rising up out of the plains.
