I have a little sister…

When I was 11 years old my parents had a ‘surprise’ named Beth. Since I had been praying for just that very thing it was no surprise to me! LOL There she was…tiny, sweet and my very own little doll come alive! It’s no wonder that when I had children of my own I was already accomplished in the field!

I told someone once that I won the ‘sister lottery’. (smile) Beth has a huge heart and she is the first one to help out when there is a need. In her life she has blessed many people with that caring heart. She makes this a world a better place…my little sister Beth.

Beauty in Motion

This is one of my favorite hummingbird shots. You don’t often see this angle and I was lucky he hovered long enough to let me capture it! Nature…such a gift!

A Love Story…

He was holding her hand when she died…as he had held it for a lifetime. My parents were so in love. She shy and gentle, he bold and fearless. I miss them so…

Bits of Yesterday…

One year when we went to visit my hometown of Coshocton, Ohio the fair was on and I got to relive a joyous time of my childhood. We walked over to where we could see the old ‘home place’ of  my youth. I have such vivid memories of sitting on those very steps and watching all the activity of this wonderful country fair! Oh, the sweet memories!!

The gift behind the clouds

Yesterday was a hot, sultry day and in the afternoon it turned dark all round us. The TV said the weather had turned violent in communities nearby…flash floods and wind and hail…nasty stuff!.

Then, in late afternoon the sun broke out and we jumped in the car for a peek and our new and improved day. It was amazing how in a matter of hours everything had changed. Kind of like life! (Smile)
