This Mission Church is one of the oldest churches in America dedicated to San Francisco de Asis. It was constructed between 1813 and 1815 and is an outstanding example of adobe mission architecture.
After the brilliance of the sunlight and the heat of the day the dark coolness and the absolute silence felt so welcoming when I stepped inside this wonderful old adobe church. There is peace in this place….
