A Hot Mama!

This little Killdeer is nesting in the next door neighbor’s front yard. I find them so fascinating. They nest completely in the open…depending on protective coloration to hide them. She stood up just long enough for me to spot the black and white egges. It’s hot outside and I expect she has to ‘air’ them every little bit or she’ll end up with fried eggs! ;o)
