Art seen through different eyes…

sanchezMy son Brian found this folk artist in Riverside, California and told me about him. Martin Sanchez has spent 25 years creating art out of things other people discard….the ‘junk’ of life. And through his eyes this junk becomes funny, or shocking, or beautiful in so many different ways. I have only begun  to explore the depth of this acre of land filled with treasures.

The photo is inside a tiny chapel whose sides are made of bottles. The way this changes light is amazing. It felt as holy in this place as cathedrals I have entered. I can’t travel like I once could and this fascinating find will give much pleasure to my ‘itchy’ trigger finger (smile).   As they say “If one door closes…another opens.
