There is a fall apple butter festival in Oak Glen every year. So many activities for kids and the young at heart! Country music, hay rides, corn shucking and the like. Rick’s carving group teaches soap carving to the kids.
The apple butter must be stirred for a solid 21 hours. It smells so good cooking and it tastes wonderful! Reminds me of my youth when Aunt Mary would make up jars for the long cold winter. The taste of summer in every jar.
