Made for the night life….

Owls are one of my favorite birds. They are perfectly adapted for the ‘night life’. Most animals that are active at night have large eyes that let them make use of any available light. With owls the eyes are so big by comparison to the head that there is no room for eye muscles…meaning owls can’t move their eyes Instead owls must move their entire head to follow the movement of prey. They can turn their head 270 degrees in either direction. Rick mentioned that would also be great for girl watching! He should be so lucky! LOL
