Sandhill Cranes

We try not to miss this amazing sight anytime we are near Lodi, California. Sandhill Cranes are such beautiful birds. They winter over here by the thousands. At sunset you can see them settling in for the night. They arrive in great long ribbons…clouds of them…calling to one another in loud voices. Those cries carry for miles. I’ll look up the address of the reserve we were at and post it tomorrow. Though true be known…if you are in the area and look up at dusk….you are seeing them everywhere.
