A haunting sound

fog_horn8A major storm hit us today. In the morning, before the rain and the full force came ashore, we went down to take a few shots of the coming storm. This is the foghorn that cries out the mournful warning into the face of wind and rain. With the camera on a tripod and Rick trying his best to brace me it was hard to stand still enough to get this shot the wind was so strong. We spent the rest of the day safe inside watching the storm and seeing the strange sight of rain ‘falling’ sideways outside the windows while the poor ol’ Bounder rocked and rolled. Tomorrow, according to the weather report the gusts could get up to 50-75 miles an hour. (gulp) Rick promised the there is no way we could tip over….and I’m holding him to that! I’m glad we are parked and not out on the road. Nature is frightening in its awesome power.
