A Dream Come True

“If you will give it a home, and promise no one will ever take it apart, I will build a carousel for Missoula”…were the words of Chuck Kaparich.

He was a man that had spent many childhood hours on a carousel…A man with a dream to make that possible for many other children. His dream became the dream of a community.

Kaparich taught others to carve; mechanics began the process of restoring 16,066 pieces of an antique frame and motor. And on May 27, 1995 Missoula had its treasure!

This little guy’s mother says they come at least once a week…”He’s just gotten brave enough to ride it all by himself!” she told me. And doesn’t he look proud?
