This barn has been here for many years and I love the feeling it gives me every time I see it. Talk about a peek back at yesteryear. It looks like a set for ‘Ma and Pa Kettle’.
Many years ago, the first time I ever saw it, I shouted at Rick to stop and, with rain pouring down my face and plastering my hair to my head, I started taking pictures.
From a tiny house nearby (now a business place, I noticed) came a little old lady running though the rain and lugging an umbrella for me. “Just drop it at the house when you’re done” she said. Still, when we drive by here I remember, not the soaking I got from the rain, but the warmth that filled my heart at the kindness of a stranger…
