It was just a perfect day to take a stroll through the quiet desert oasis of ‘The Living Desert ‘ in Palm Desert.
This upscale desert community is not only busy and bustling with the local residents but the tourists that find this place irresistible in the winter months. And one of the things that draws us all back again and again is “The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens”.
If you want to see the flora and fauna and critters of the desert this is the place to go. In addition to wilderness paths that lead you to explore…there are quiet serene places to sit and meditate. And beauty to admire… softly curved shapes to soothe the soul as well as dynamic pieces of art…full of energy.
Even the play of light against the edges of the plants glows with it’s own kind of beauty.
But the desert can be a harsh place…of predator and prey. On January 3rd you will find a picture of a snake that is having a holiday meal.
