Oh, let’s just stay one more day

The “Oh, let’s just stay one more day” hit again! This was a laid back day. We finished up some chores, took a drive and came home to B-B-Que dinner. After dinner Rick worked on his carving. It tickles me to see him having so much fun.10_9_99_rickcarving

October 9 Kaysville, Utah

I have no idea why one particular morning in the past remains so vivid to me. I remember a single summer morning when I was about nine years old. I had just awakened…maybe it was the first day of summer vacation. The sun was streaming through lace curtains and an already warm breeze was billowing them across my bed.

The birds were in full voice, and I had the whole day before me. I was filled with such joy and such exquisite anticipation that it was almost more then I could contain.

Anything seemed possible that morning, and I felt as if the summer days that stretched before me would never end. I feel that way again.
