It was a sunny, cool afternoon, just perfect for a stroll. And we took it through a lovely shady little zoo! The animals here are very easy to view. The giraffe enclosure allows you to go into the barn at eye level as well as watch them from the outside. There was a mama and papa and a very new little giraffe. I got some close ups, with the 180mm, of the mother and baby rubbing heads. What a little cutie! There was also a mama Polar Bear with two little white fur balls, fast asleep. Babies are so much fun to watch.
Rick is sitting beside me in the easy chair, reading the Saturday newspaper, and commenting on the events of the day. That gives me such a nice “homey” feeling.
We actually got out the TV last night and watched a couple of premiers of the new fall shows. I can’t say I’ve missed TV much..but it was a nice change of pace to be a “couch potato” for a night.
