We got up at 6:00am to get Rick off for his day ‘out with the boys’. I just went back to sleep!

Made a card with the stamp of the little old man, looking over the fence. That is going to work out I think. I could use it for a lot of photo situations.

Met the nicest folks tonight…Jack and Del Hilt from Buffalo City WI. They live on the bank of the Mississippi River, just 8 feet above flood level. They can catch dinner off of the back steps.

We were all sitting around outside our RV, laughing so loud that the gal next door came over and said “You all sound like you are having so much fun I wondered if I could join you?” Stayed outside until the cold drove us in. We exchanged addresses…and hugs!

The people on the other side of us are Canadians…but he is a news correspondent stationed in Russia. Part of the deal is they “mail” the family back to the US or Canada for a month each year.

We went into Kalispell to pick up some things we needed and ate at Applebee’s. We had a desert with ice cream on top…served on a sizzling platter…so the white chocolate on the bottom was boiling!

The weather has been perfect…clear and balmy. But the weather report says rain for tomorrow.

Today I got my Birthday present! (a little early) We finally bought a digital camera! A Nikon Cool Pix 950. We spent the afternoon ‘trying’ to learn it. It’s much more complicated then a regular SLR because of all the computer business. The manual (luckily ) is on a disk and is very complete. I’d probably be playing with it until my eyes crossed…but there is an electrical storm outside and I don’t want to leave the computer on. I feel like a kid on Christmas eve…I can’t wait until morning so I can play with my toys!

Rick is almost done with his ‘dancing doll stick figure’ by the name of Zeke. It’s a cowboy and it’s cute as a button.

He’s been working at the kitchen table and I’ve been doing cards at the computer desk. ( Sooooo handy to have two work areas ) It feels cozy tonight to be working and chatting and listening to the rain on the roof.

We have more fun with these rabbits that are all over the place! Rick was sitting on a stump and there were four of them sitting at his feet. He looked like a pontiff holding court!

One of the guys here told us about a Mexican Restaurant that he has been going to in Lakeside for years. “Best Mexican food I’ve ever eaten.” It’s about a quarter mile off of the main road and there is NO sign! You already know it’s there or you can’t find it! Craziest thing I’ve ever heard of…guess it keeps out the tourist riffraff. Didn’t keep out this riffraff however. (grin) And the food was as billed.
