Willits, CA

The price of both gas and campgrounds have been awful. We’d about decided that we either had to stop driving or stop sleeping! Finally we found the neatest little campground for about half what we’d been paying. It’s filled with trees and flowers and has a pond with a mama duck and 9 little puffballs swimming after her. We’ve spotted quail, wild turkeys, red hawks and a doe with two little fawns today. We’re near Lake Mendacino…we’ll check it out tomorrow. ( I think there is some fishing in Rick’s future.)
