Milton, NH

Today we got to Rick’s home turf. And instead of me saying “Oh look, I remember that!” it was him! We are camped at Milton Pond (looks like a lake to me) When he was a boy, Rick had a friend with a cabin here, and they used to go swimming. It is a beautiful area. The campsite overlooks the water and the only sound is the wind in the birch trees and the gentle lap of the water against the shore.

This evening we met Paula, Rick’s niece, and her family. What a wonderful experience it turned out to be. They are just the nicest people. The have a little 6 yr. old imp named Kim with missing teeth and an infectious giggle. An 8 yr. old named Krista, who loves figure skating and English riding and has eye lashes to die for! And a tall willowy blond 14 yr. old named Kayla that reminds me of her cousin Amy. We went out to eat and get acquainted…they couldn’t have been nicer and I’m already regretting the years we missed not knowing them. We will see Paula and the youngsters again tomorrow…..Micheal has to work and Kayla has a field hockey game.
