Woke up at dawn this morning to a suspicious drip drip next to my head…my window was leaking and starting to run down into my “oh so warm and cozy bed”! My “manly Maine man” leapt from his “oh so warm and cozy bed”…dressed and went out into the cold rain and fixed it. My hero! Did a better job when the ‘real’ morning came! A little caulk gun to the rescue. Found the vent over the overhead also had a leak. I think all is well now. Good that it was a gentle rain or we could have had major problems.
It took the morning to get everything ship shape and after lunch we went into Bar Harbor for another look around. Or ” Ba Haba” as the locals call it. (grin)
We had one last Maine dinner ( at least that’s what I told Rick ) Lobster cooked in cream and sherry…fat free of course. And picked up fresh picked blueberries to go on the morning cereal. The mail that Beth sent from home had arrived… back to the real world…I paid bills! How dare that go on in CA behind my back!
Think we will start out again in the morning. It’s sure felt good to sit still long enough to really see the country around here. But the wander lust calls……..
