Ossipee NH, Silver Lake

Rick got up a 7am and said “Judy come and look at this!” The mist was rising on the lake…moving and swirling…the sun just starting to touch the lake. I watched for the longest time…I just couldn’t take my eyes off of it.

This is an incredible place. The cabin is warm and charming. There are snow shoes and antlers on the wall and a 9 lb. landlocked salmon stuffed over the mantel. A bright red rug on the living room floor. Wood paneling everywhere…windows overlooking the lake in the front bedroom, the dining room, the kitchen and a little screened sitting porch. The man that owned it had traveled all over the world and the place is filled with treasures from his journeys. The back yard is right on the water with a boat tied up to the private dock. It has pine trees and bird feeders and a picnic table and comfortable chairs…and scenery to die for! It’ up for sale…All this can be ours for only $350,000! Come on lottery!

There is a tiny sign in the back yard that says “Chipmunk crossing” and would you believe…one came and just sat beside the sign long enough to let me take the picture!
