Richland, MO

This is a green countryside! Rolling hills and cattle grazing. The areas beside the road look like parks. I wonder how much water it would take to get that effect in CA? It would probably drain the Colorado River dry! The gas is only 88 cents….but we paid $17 in toll fees! Boy are we spoiled in the West.

This was a long traveling day. We found a camping sign and turned onto a narrow dirt road. About a mile into it we began to wonder if this was such a good idea. It opened out into a lovely little campground beside a river. It is still warm and humid but not that awful oppressive heat of Oklahoma City. We took a walk over a bridge to the other side of the river. There are wild flowers here I’ve never seen before. The woods are thick and go for miles.

Rick needs a haircut…now I know where Steve gets his curls! This humid air has turned Rick into a curly top…..look’n good!
