‘Blue Spring’

Eureka Springs is famous for the number of ‘healing’ springs that abound in the region. We drove out to the Eureka Springs Gardens; home of the famous ‘Blue Spring’ This spring has been ‘sounded’ to a depth of 510 feet but the actual bottom has never been reached. It pumps out 38 million gallons of BLUE water every 24 hours.

There was a gentle warm rain part of the time…it came with such a fresh sweet smell and it intensified the perfume of the flowers.

We brought umbrellas but it never came down hard enough to open them up.

One of my favorite things in the world is walking in the rain. I love that feeling of coolness against my skin.

The sight of the raindrops plopping into that cobalt blue water and collecting like dew drops on the flower petals…I think heaven must look like something like this….

The air was filled with the calls of the songbirds. It must be a joyous feeling to have a voice sweet enough to celebrate this day.05_29_blue_spring
