North Little Rock, Arkansas ‘The Mill’

05_22_millWe woke up to a clear blue sunny day…a COOL day! The severe storms we had heard about had passed us by…and left a legacy of sweet cool air.

Arkansas is a pretty state. We got off the Interstate and took it nice and slow through peaceful countryside.

There is an old water powered grist mill here in North Little Rock that was filmed in the opening scene of “Gone With the Wind”. It’s such an idyllic place…the grounds are maintained by Master Gardeners and are simply beautiful.

We found a bench, sank into it, and watched the swans swimming around in the pond below us.

There was a very large family wandering around the mill. They were all ages and all sizes and wearing matching orange colored tee shirts. As many of them as there are…the parents probably needed to color coordinate in order not to load a few extra kids into the car!
