Alamosa
Today was a ‘kick back’ day. We went into Alamosa with friends and…be still my heart…went to Wal*mart. Or as the locals call it “The Alamosa Mall.”

I never get over the thrill of watching the wildlife out of our window. This little buck has been around all month. He’s cautious around people…but not really frightened.
I walked into the forest behind him for a ways. There was an approching storm and the thunder was a continuous ‘grumble’ in the distance.He would graze quietly, quite close to me. He was not afraid…of me or of the noise booming from the sky.
Sometimes fearlessness isn’t a good trait in a wild thing…..Hunting season just opened…..
